We wanted our laundry sink area to work harder and serve more than just one purpose. Now it helps with project cleanup, adds extra storage, functions as a laundry sink, and even doubles as a drying rack for hanging clothes.

When it came to choosing a sink, we were surprised by how expensive dedicated laundry sinks can be. The sink and faucet we found from @loweshomeimprovement felt like the perfect balance of budget, function, and style, giving us everything we needed without compromising on the look of the space #lowespartner

We needed a way to conceal both our laundry hookups and the large gap behind our washer and dryer due to the dryer duct, but wanted something that made getting back there when needed easily accessible. We thought a café curtain under mounted to the cabinets could be the perfect compromise! We went for @twopagescurtains celia striped café curtain in light blue, under mounted with an adhesive peel and stick curtain track. This was so quick to install (minus having to impatiently wait 24 hours after installing the track to actually hang the curtains) and the result is exactly what we were looking for! For the cabinetry in here, it’s probably no surprise AT ALL that we went with IKEA cabinets! Their cabinets are SO easy to install (especially after you’ve done it a few times) and we installed these basically in 1 day. We also went with stock fronts from IKEA as well, to keep overall costs down in this room and landed on HAVSTORP beige. We’re close to wrapping up this room now, with only a few more finishing touches to add like the counter and sink, cabinet hardware, and a surprise over the washer dryer!
